Bobbin Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Bobbin Chrome extension ("Bobbin"). By installing or using Bobbin, you agree to them.

1. Free software, no charges

Bobbin is free. There are no paid plans, subscriptions, ads, or in app purchases. Bobbin is built and maintained by one independent developer as a personal project, with no company, servers, or revenue behind it.

2. What Bobbin does

Bobbin keeps a private memory of pages you visit and read, stored on your device, and optionally syncs a spreadsheet to your own Google Drive so AI assistants you choose can read it.

3. Your responsibilities

• Use Bobbin only on devices and accounts you own or are allowed to use.
• Follow the terms of websites you visit, including LinkedIn. Bobbin only records pages you open yourself; it never browses, clicks, or collects pages on its own.
• Respect other people's privacy. Information about people you look up (for example on LinkedIn) is personal data; do not misuse it.
• You choose which AI assistants to connect. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them.

4. Third party services

Assistant Sync relies on Google Drive and Google Sheets. AI assistants rely on their own providers. Bobbin is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, Meta, Microsoft, Perplexity, Muse, or LinkedIn. Their names are used only to describe compatibility. Changes or outages in those services may affect Bobbin.

5. Accuracy of answers

Bobbin records what it can observe in your browser and may miss or misread pages. AI assistants may misinterpret your data. Do not rely on Bobbin or any assistant's answer for legal, medical, financial, or other important decisions without checking the source.

6. No warranty

Bobbin is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non infringement. The developer does not guarantee that Bobbin will be uninterrupted, error free, or secure.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of Bobbin. Because Bobbin is free, the developer's total liability for any claim is zero dollars (USD $0), where the law allows.

8. Changes and discontinuation

The developer may update, change, or stop offering Bobbin at any time. Updated terms will be posted at this address with a new date.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules.
